Position Overview: A Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the various aspects of logistics operations within an organization. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Logistics Coordinator is mainly responsible for coordinating shipments, and ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials or products to meet production or customer demands.
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers to arrange pickups, track shipments, and address any issues or delays.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export or import documentation.
  • Coordinate with external warehouses to facilitate the movement of goods.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to streamline logistics processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, carriers, and suppliers regarding logistics-related inquiries and updates.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Provide timely and accurate information on shipment status, delivery schedules, and any logistics-related issues to relevant parties.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations, import/export laws, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accurate completion of shipping documentation, customs forms, and other required paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to address any compliance-related issues and maintain adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

  • At least a Diploma in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in logistics software, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles, transportation modes, and industry best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers.
