INGREDIENTS:

  1. 2 sachets OLD TOWN White Coffee 3-in-1 Salted Caramel Flavoured
  2. 90g Cake Flour, sifted
  3. 70g Cooking Oil
  4. 100g Sugar
  5. 1 tsp Baking Powder sifted
  6. 1 tsp Tartar Powder
  7. 1 tsp Corn Flour
  8. ¼ tsp Salt
  9. 6 Eggs, separate the egg yolks and egg whites
  10. Icing Sugar (Optional)

STEPS:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and prepare a 10-inch tube pan, ungreased.
  2. Add hot water into OLD TOWN White Coffee 3-in-1 Salted Caramel Flavoured powder.
  3. Mix cake flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Beat egg yolks with 50g of sugar until the colour turns pale. Pour in cooking oil and coffee.
  5. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
  6. Beat egg whites, corn flour and tartar powder until it forms soft peaks. Gently fold the beaten egg white foam into the egg yolk batter in 2-3 batches until fully combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour batter into the tube pan. Tap the pan a few times on tabletop to remove any trapped air bubbles in the batter.
  8. Put the pan in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until cooked.
  9. Invert the pan immediately upon removing the cake from the oven.
  10. Let it cool completely before removing the cake from the pan. To remove, run the knife around the side of the pan and centre.
  11. (Optional) Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving!
