Key Responsibilities:

• Create visually appealing layouts for newspaper pages, including the arrangement of text, images, and advertisements
• Design and layout advertisements, ensuring they meet the newspaper’s specifications and visual standards
• Work with buyers to create appealing and effective advertisements that complement the newspaper’s design
• Ensure that ads are appropriately placed and formatted for both print and digital versions
• Keep abreast of best practices in the media and publishing industry and refresh related processes and procedures as required
• Manage image/advertisement licensing and copyright issues, ensuring proper permissions are in place.
• Manage newspaper design layout submission to SPH
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Diploma

Minimum 3 years of relevant work. Experience in SPH newspaper submission will be an advantage

Excellent knowledge of the media and publication process, media channels and integrated communications

Proficient in Design application software such as Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

Excellent command in speaking and writing in English (fluent in speaking and writing in Chinese is an added advantage in order to liaise/handle Chinese speaking associates/documentation)

Resourceful, meticulous, and highly driven with excellent time and financial management

Able to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment but also a team player with a positive attitude
