Step 1: Visual Inspection
There are many Avocado varieties and each have slight variation in colour throughout the ripening process.
One of the most common variety sold in Singapore is Hass Avocados.
Hass Avocados skin may turn almost black for the fruit to become ripe.
Once you are satisfied with your shades, inspect the fruit for major indentation.
Step 2: Stem and Pressure Inspection
Inspect the Avocado by applying light pressure on the fruit close to the stem.
Remove the stem if it is soft, this represents that the avocado is ripe and ready to eat.
Avocado stem can be removed easily once they ripens.
- 1 cup milk
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 3 tablespoons honey
- Blend milk, avocado and honey together in a blender until smooth
