Sheng Siong extends more CHAS support with enhanced 6% discount

• Sheng Siong will increase CHAS discounts for Blue and Orange cardholders from 4% to 6% from 10 September 2026 to 1 January 2027.
• Following the doubling of CHAS discounts to 8% for the month of June, the latest increase continues Sheng Siong’s efforts to provide a little more support for customers with their everyday grocery expenses.

Singapore – 10 September 2026 – Sheng Siong Supermarket Pte Ltd (“Sheng Siong”) will increase its Community Health Assist Scheme (“CHAS”) discounts for Blue and Orange cardholders from 4% to 6%, as part of its continued efforts to help families with their everyday grocery expenses.

From 10 September 2026 to 1 January 2027, Blue CHAS cardholders will enjoy a 6% discount every Thursday, while Orange CHAS cardholders will enjoy a 6% discount every Fridays.

With the latest increase, customers can enjoy the following weekly discounts at all  93 Sheng Siong stores:

The increase follows Sheng Siong’s initiative in June 2026, when CHAS discounts were doubled from 4% to 8% for the month. The 4% discount was subsequently extended through 2026, and from 10 September, eligible customers will enjoy a higher 6% discount. Sheng Siong hopes this additional support will help customers save a little more on their regular grocery purchases in the months ahead.

After providing additional support through the 8% CHAS discount in June, we wanted to continue doing a little more for our customers. We hope the 6% discount will help them save a little more on their everyday groceries.”

More Support for Everyday Needs

In addition to the increased CHAS discounts, Sheng Siong will offer Purchase-with-Purchase (“PWP”) promotions on selected Sheng Siong house brand products, giving customers more opportunities to enjoy savings on everyday essentials such as rice and cooking oil.

Sheng Siong has been extending grocery savings to eligible customers through its Senior Citizen and CHAS discount programmes. Blue CHAS cardholders have received a 4% discount since March 2025, while the same benefit was introduced for Orange CHAS cardholders in January 2026. Senior citizens continue to enjoy 4% off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Together, these discount programmes delivered approximately $7.5 million in savings to customers in 2025.

To make the Senior Citizen Discount more accessible, family members shopping on behalf of seniors may present the senior’s physical identity card at checkout. CHAS cardholders may similarly present their physical or digital CHAS cards to enjoy the applicable discount.

Beyond these initiatives, Sheng Siong continues to help customers save through regular promotions and discounts. Customers can also enjoy cash rebates when paying with selected credit cards from participating bank partners.
