- To help families manage the cost of living in Singapore, Sheng Siong will double its CHAS Blue and Orange discount to 8% for June 2026.
- The 4% CHAS Blue and Orange discount will also be extended till 31 December 2026.
Singapore – 28 May 2026 – Sheng Siong Supermarket Pte Ltd (“Sheng Siong”) will enhance savings for Blue and Orange Community Health Assist Scheme (“CHAS”) cardholders this June by increasing its CHAS discount from 4% to 8%, as part of its continued efforts to help families stretch their household budgets and ease the cost of everyday essentials.
The enhanced 8% CHAS discount will be available throughout June 2026 at all 88 Sheng Siong stores. Blue CHAS cardholders can enjoy the enhanced discount on Thursdays, while Orange CHAS cardholders can enjoy it on Fridays.
In addition, Sheng Siong will extend its existing 4% CHAS discount scheme beyond its original end date in June, with support continuing until 31 December 2026. This extension aims to continue supporting households in managing day-to-day expenses amid cost-of-living pressures, as part of the Group’s broader efforts to help families cope with rising living costs.
With Community Development Council (“CDC”) vouchers brought forward to June, Sheng Siong will also introduce special promotions for CDC voucher users from 1 June to 6 July 2026, where customers who spend $20 in a single receipt using CDC vouchers can enjoy discounts of up to 50% on selected products, including everyday staples such as eggs and rice.
Sheng Siong hopes these combined measures can help customers stretch their grocery budgets a little further and provide some added support for daily essentials.

Supporting Customers through Daily Savings
In 2025, Sheng Siong provided approximately $7.5 million in savings to customers through its Senior Citizen (SC), CHAS Blue and Orange discount schemes.
Sheng Siong first introduced a 4% discount for Blue CHAS cardholders in March 2025, followed by a 4% discount for Orange CHAS cardholders in January 2026.
Senior citizens also enjoy a 4% discount on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Following arrangements made during the pandemic, family members shopping on behalf of seniors may continue to benefit from the SC discount by presenting the senior’s physical identity card at checkout. Eligible CHAS customers may similarly present their physical or digital CHAS cards when making purchases.
Beyond these initiatives, Sheng Siong remains committed to helping customers save through regular promotions and discounts. With the support of bank partners, customers can enjoy cash rebates when they use preferred credit cards11 at Sheng Siong.
